Artist - Chance Munsterman

For almost 20 years, Chance has been writing and playing original music as well as entertaining people from all over the state of Texas with an eclectic blend of acoustic rock that spans genres from classic to alternative sounds.

In 2001, Chance began recording and subsequently performing his songs live to audiences from all over the state. Performing with numerous bands in North Texas has helped shape Chance as an emerging artist as well as brought a new wave of inspiration to release new material. Singing is his primary role, but he brings a unique, somewhat unfinished approach to the guitar giving his music a feeling of raw energy and passion.

Drawing influences from bands such as Pink Floyd, Matchbox 20, Counting Crows and Jackopierce, Chance continues to write music that not only tells a story but also elicits an energy that, “just makes you feel good.”

Currently, Chance writes, produces and performs his own songs, as well as hosts a weekly interview style and live music broadcast titled “Live at Chance's House” on YouTube and Twitch, which due to the recent pandemic is literally at his house. He is also the lead vocalist for Bad Karma & AcousticKarma, considered one of the best classic/alternative rock cover bands in North Texas.

Chance has two upcoming singles scheduled for release in the next few weeks. "The Mountain" and a Live Recording with Rob Gaylard of The Nomadic, that was recorded from their show in New York are coming soon with more new releases already planned for 2022.

Red Dirt Outlaws

2019-Present

In 2019, Chance auditioned for a new Texas country, southern rock band.  Two years later and a pandemic, they have recorded some amazing music, including one full album as well as an acoustic album of the same songs. As they move into 2022, their hope is that they can finally get out for some shows, and spread the word about RDO.  For more information on RDO click the link below for a preview to some of the music we have released.

You can also find Red Dirt Outlaws music on all streaming platforms.

Dreadnought Society

2018-Present

Chance Munsterman & Jim Kisselburg

Dreadnought Society brings a fresh perspective to a new set of classic and alternative rock covers to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Friends for over 20 years, talk about playing together was always out there, but it wasn't until 2018 that they finally got together.  Side projects and pandemics have ultimately lead to a temporary hiatus, however as we come into 2022, plans to get together again are still on the horizon.

AcousticKarma

2010-Present

Chance Munsterman & Ryan Cassidy

Since 2010, Chance & Ryan have been playing acoustic gigs in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Playing classic and alternative rock covers is what they do, and they do it with a style you wouldn't think could happen with just a couple of guys playing guitar.

Each member brings their own unique style and sound with influences ranging from Pink Floyd, Kiss, and Stevie Ray Vaughn to more mainstream rock such as Collective Soul, Godsmack and Tool. Strange Brew

1998-2002

Paul Spears (Lead Vocals), Scott Strange (Drums), Harlan Whitlock (Bass/Vocals), Roger DeWater (Lead Guitar/Vocal) & Chance Munsterman (Rhythm Guitar/Vocal)

At the height of their success, Strange Brew was considered one of the best classic/alterntive rock bands in Dallas/Fort Worth.

Having played nearly 50 gig a years for 3 years, the band ultimately decided to part ways to form a new original project called Chizzel, while Chance and Roger split off to eventually form Bad Karma with Mike Freed and Terry Sims.

Last Call (1:45)

1996-1999

Chance Munsterman & T-Bone Stearns

Before everyone had a acoustic duet act, Last Call was doing hard rock and alternative covers acoustically to crowds all over the state of Texas.  From Tool to Nine Inch Nails, Last Call was taking a new approach on how acoustic songs traditionally had always been played, and making new sounds to go along with the already beloved songs.

Back in the day, no club was too small, as the band was just getting started.  This was the start to both Chance and T-Bone's journey into playing all over Dallas/Fort Worth and making a name for themselves.  The band has never officially broken up, and the two remain close friends to this day, but as all bands come and go, Last Call will go down as a pioneering force in playing with everything you've got and never giving up on the dream.

L.A. Bound

1992-1997

Chance Munsterman & Gil Valencia

The first official band that Chance was in, all started on weekly rehearsals right out of high school, NYPD Blue and songwriting sessions that didn't end until a song was complete, whether it was good or not.

These early years learning how to play guitar, learning how to write songs and ultimately developing a style that still has influence on Chance's music today, will always be remembered as some of the best musical years.

Still friends to this day, Chance and Gil have seen a lot of life since the days of L.A. Bound, but the memories still remain.
